A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I graduated from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C. in 2013 with a diploma in Digital Art and Design. I have a background in Art History, which I studied here in the prairies at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, SK.
After a few years in B.C.’s mountainous southern interior, I’m happy to have returned to the prairies. I currently work full time remotely as a graphic & web designer for Sun Peaks Independent News, a monthly newspaper distributed in the communities of Sun Peaks and Kamloops, B.C.
I’m constantly exploring new processes and media, practicing fine art on the side and incorporating these methods into my graphic design work. I’m currently focussing on printmaking, creating linocuts and block prints and creating patterns for stationery and textile design under the name of Jitterbug Handmade. You can see my printmaking work here.

Word from the Clients
"Beyond my expectations! I had been in contact with a few designers and was feeling disheartened by the same cookie cutter logo over and over. I felt like I wasn't being listened to and wasted a lot of money in the process. That's when a friend recommended Jen. I filled out Jen's survey asking me what I wanted, including the "feel" I was after and gave her my price range. Within a few days I opened up my email and could have cried with joy! There was the most beautiful & sophisticated hand drawn brand I have ever seen! She nailed it and gave me exactly what I wanted! Jenis an amazing talent and delight to work with! I recommend her to everyone I know!"

"Jen Schier went above and beyond with helping us at the Sun Peaks Skate Park Foundation to brand and promote our cause. Thank you, Jen."
Peter Wilson, Chairman of Sun Peaks Skate Park Foundation
"Jen was really helpful, efficient and executed my picky, eccentric yet unique style and tastes into a website perfectly tailor made for my art. I also really appreciate her sending me PDFs and files I needed in a pinch even though she was travelling half way across the planet! So many businesses feel like you pay them and never hear from them again, but she definitely followed up really well and made my business feel really important to me long after the transaction. Thanks for everything, Jen!"
